Are there a lot of people still waiting?

gavsaumure, which district are you from in nevada? Im in NV-02 and i havent heard anything yet either

FWIW, there may be a good chance BFE/TWE/wait list info will be sent by weeks end. Last year many TWE/wait list letters were dated Friday April 2. Not to fret, a few BFE's were also sent in early April.

Good luck to all, the finish line is in sight.

Waiting in NC

Qualified with 3 noms and no BFE or TWE, so just waiting. USNA is still first choice, and back up plans are in place. I will be glad when there is a decision. What a ride!

Still waiting in NC...

DS is still waiting...and waiting...and waiting.
Virginia Tech and NC State are competing for plan B.

Good luck to everyone here! All of you young men and women are amazing!

Back to stalking the mailman.

From NC as well with the same backups. It's a small world. Good luck.

Also still waiting in Alabama.

.....DS is 3'Qd and has 2 nominations. He has worked so hard for many years to get this far. I just hope for him that it pays off. He says... that he is not worried about it as he seems to be excited about plan B. Been accepted to Marion Military Institute where he will take part in the SAP and then reapply for the class of 2016. Maybe we will all hear something this week so we can start really making plans as to what will be done.

Still waiting in NYC

my son is still waiting as well. triple qualifed with a nomination.. is it april yet?

I am from Indiana, 2 nominations, but medically disqualified. I have sent in information regarding my medical waiver and god willing I will be medically waived. So do the nominations not out until after you are medically waived? For the NROTC, they send you an acceptance letter first and then send in the medical waiver info. so is the process different for the USNA?

DS recieved a TWE from the USAFA today March 28, but nothing yet from the USNA. The USAFA letter stated that they are only appointing 1120 for the class of 2015. DS is 3 Q'd and has 3 nominations, and made it through the first board with a letter in hand...hanging in there...this is truly March Madness. I'll be stalking the mail again tomorrow:thumb:

Small comfort?

Just came back from a CVW and both DS and I met a surprisingly large number of appointees/appointee parents who are on-the-fence about the USNA and are really holding out for possible offers from the Ivies.

I am sure it's the same each year--after the dust settles, a good number of appointments are turned down, opening it up to the next candidates--apparently, even as late as the week before I-Day.

Good luck to all...

and I think many might agree with me.....the Ivies are an excellent choice for all those appointees on the fence.......:yllol:

Also keep in mind that the academy plans for this. They give out 1500 appointment offers, even though theres only about 1200 spots

Pah..I say let them go, more space for the kids who really want to be at USNA!

I agree :).

And it seems that a lot of people have not yet heard back from USNA, I have a feeling within the next week or two theres going to be a flood of good and bad news. Lets pray mostly good:smile:

I personally didn't apply to USNA, but I have two friends still waiting to hear back. One 3Q'd (as far as I know...he's never said he wasn't so I'm assuming  ) and one is awaiting a medical waiver. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of them to receive good news. I know they're both stressing big time and I hurt for them...I know if I hadn't heard anything from USMA I'd be pulling my hair out by now.

Good luck to all of you still waiting to hear!

What does it mean when you say, "made it through with a letter in hand"?

My D is still waiting in MI. She is 3Q'd with 2 nominations. Thankfully, she was accepted at her #2 choice school, so it won't be completely awful if her path isn't to USNA, but she will no doubt feel sad if it works out that way.

Is it typical to hear from MOCs before receiving appointment?
