I have made a new thread for this, with what I hope is a strong searchable title. I found this link while responding to a thread elsewhere. It is the 2015 IRS publication addressing tax issues relating to armed forces and military service. Viewable as a pdf. Mentions all kinds of pays, allowances, ROTC, Reserve and Guard, travel and moving expenses, combat zone pay, etc.
