My DD is wondering if they are going to be tested on the Armed Forces Officer reading assignment. This will determine what type of reading is necessary: reading to inform vs. reading to recall. Any information would be great. She has already read it. She just wants to know if she should STUDY it...

No reading or studying. Tell her to enjoy her final days/hours with family and friends. She will be provided EVERYTHING she needs once she arrives.

Thank you so much. This will be a relief to her. I won't tell her about the "no reading" part, though....considering she already finished it!

You aren't tested on it so technically speaking nothing bad will happen to you if you don't read it. However, if you don't even have the self-discipline and motivation to follow a direct instruction before you arrive you have no business joining the military much less going to the Academy, although I'm pretty sure that wasn't what you comment was angled towards.
