I recently was awarded an Army Achievement Medal when I graduated Infantry OSUT and I would like to put it in my Candidate Profile. How would I go about doing this?

It won't help you with your actual application, but it may help your CO give you a Commander's Endorsement.

CadetMoore- Scan your certificate and your orders into your computer. Go to your portal and obtain email address for your regional office and your RC. Email both explaining you are attaching your award certificate plus orders to add to your file. In subject line put your name, candidate number and please add attached award to my file
DS has done this a couple of times and has always received confirmation they received the email. If you do not hear from regional office in a week(remember the holidays so extra time may be needed) email them again with attachments and say you are resending just in case they did not receive your first message.

Back in Sept. DS and I attended an admissions brief where head of admissions told candidates not to be modest and to let West Point know of all awards and positive changes to profile. The colonel told us if we aren't sure whether or not to submit to let admissions decide. For example, through the new upload docs tab, letters of recommendation have to be approved before they appear on your record.

I'd consider submitting the DA Form 638 (recommendation for award) with or without the certificate since as the 638 spells out pretty clearly what you accomplished (and my whom) in greater detail.

At the end of the day, I say if you did it, submit it.
