If anyone is interested tonight at 10 pm ESPN2 will air the replay of Army Brigade Boxing.

OMG we watched it...really cool to see some of the goings on of WP on TV. We never did hear who was selected best boxer for the evening though. I really don't know anything about boxing, but it was pretty fascinating to watch, esp since I have heard all males will be taking boxing as their plebe PE course. I hope I can recognize my son's nose when he comes home a Christmas:eek:

I also though Atlas made some real nice comments about the USMA and the families.
Even called my son to have him tune it in at his girlfriends house last night. They loved it too.

luv2swim - during plebe year, all males will take boxing. It is for half the semester.
All females will take "Combatives" which is very similar to boxing.
(I don't know the exact difference but I think they learn some different moves in addition to boxing)
Broken noses, broken toes, concussions etc. are not uncommon.

Tyler Elliot, USMA Class of 2012, earned the Most Outstanding Boxer award from the ESPNU announcers for his Technical Knockout in the 195 pound classification.

Boxing is also a Club sports at USMA. The won the Collegiate Nationals this year.

Dad Missed it.

I'm sad I missed another airing of the BBO. Tyler is my son. I'm trying to find a copy of the event. Tyler is looking into it at his end. I searched ESPN's website with no luck. Any ideas would be welcomed.

Thanks

Foreign Cadets

Interesting to see the number of cadets from other countries, including Russia. I bet that didn't happen in the 1980's!

O' boy.

:confused:O' Lord. I had to leave town for a couple of days and missed the 5th to! LOL

I will pass on your contratulations to him. And thank you for the link. I will keep an eye on it to see when it might come up again.
