Hello all!

DD is a freshman and a 4 year scholarship winner. She JUST contracted last week because of a backlog and computer issues.

She is interested in doing all the summer training she can fit in, but she has apparently already missed the deadline for CULP Application due to the backlog.

Does anyone here know the deadline for CAIT applications (Airborne School or Air Assault School)?
 
I believe that each battalion has a specific allotment for Airborne, Air Assault, and other summer training slots. Except for Project Go (great choice), I don't believe that a cadet can apply for these slots on their own without the cadre being involved.

Your DD should contact her ROO or immediate cadre chain of command and express interest in these summer programs.

Are you sure about the deadline? The Cadet Command CULP website says October 31. Air Assault and Airborne slots are somewhat unusual for MS1s

I checked the link but I did not see the deadline listed. Where would that be found?

Application window for CULP assignments opens 15 September and closes 31 October.

CULP is a great experience. Contracted MS1s may actually have a slight advantage. My son did it two summers on two different continents. He's still friends with some of the people he met six years ago.
