Well- I hope Coach Ellerson is successful with this ambition- they have been in the hopper for too long now. They have their schedule looking pretty appropriate (see you at Michie Stadium on October 30th- that game ought to be something of a revenge match since they won on a generous Ref's call and the size of their receiver - Villanueva. He's gone now so normal sized human beings should be able to cover the receivers:biggrin:).

I'm trying to get tix for Notre Dame at Yankee Stadium on Nov 20th-Don't think I'm gonna be successful though- I'm not so interested that I'm gonna go broke doing it:rolleyes:).
Beat Navy!

I should have bought those ND/NAVY tickets when they first became available for under $100. The price is out of sight now. Would have been a great chance to see a One Billion Dollar Stadium. BEAT ARMY! Notre Dame also as a cherry on the top. Michie has to be one of the greatest places to watch a game. Don't like the long climb up the hill from the cookout though.

EMU runs a good program, and usually plays a couple Big Ten teams. The real important piece of the win was the fact that Army was down by 3 with less than 2 minutes left and took it down the field to win.

EMU was pretty fun. I think we're gonna win against Navy this year (and hopefully get to a bowl game also). A lot of the football players are optimistic about it.

What I noticed from the weekend was that we have a really strong offense but are lacking as far as defense is concerned. If we fixed that, we'd be a lot better.

For anyone at the game Saturday, that's a disappointment. Christ, I can't wait to play in that atmosphere though. And yes, I was talking to some of my coaches. Word on the street is the entire Army football attitude has changed-football has taken much more of a front seat than in the past. Whether that means Bowl Game this year or not; we will see.

Don't know how it could take any more of a front seat. We had Army football crammed down our throats even in the worst of times. Football has always ruled the fall there.
