Army Max Age

Also, I searched and saw that 35 is the max. age you can work in the army. Is that for the more physical jobs? That’s younger than I thought. Aren’t some lieutenants and colonels fairly old, or is that just the movies?

Correct, that is the maximum age that one may enlist at. The mandatory retirement age for officers is 62, other than general officers (O-7 and above), for whom it is 64. This can be deferred to 66 or 68 by the SECDEF or POTUS, respectively. There are also mandatory retirements for those who spend to long in their grade or in service without being promoted.
