Never been to the Army / Navy game and with DS now in AROTC and Philly a short ride away, I'd like to take him and his younger brother.
Looks like to buy tickets to that game, I'd have to join the A Club, which is fine and sort of the norm for college sports tickets.
Just want to confirm that's how it works? I suppose I'll call on Monday to ensure tickets are available. Would probably join anyway if none are available to build up status for future years.

There are also Army/Navy ticket exchange Facebook pages.

One thing to keep in mind, if the game is cancelled as far as spectators, is to make sure you understand the refund policy of your ticket, if that important to you.

IOW, if purchased though a 3rd party, are they refundable?

We have tickets for the first time ever. It’s a bucket list item. Not sure how I even feel about going IF spectators are allowed. It’s a significant financial investment for us as we are NOT close. And we would want to experience all the events and activities beyond the actual game.

i would think that decisions about attendance would need to be made soon? From the stadium aspect, as well as each academy.

Pure speculation on my part but I think attendance will be limited this year.

I don’t believe spectators will be allowed. Mayor Kenney has prevented any spectators from attending games at Lincoln Financial Field.

I don’t think so either. Perhaps cadets/Mids, but not general admission people like me.

If you do get a chance to attend at some point, do it. I only went to one game courtesy of my retired Naval Captain FIL. It was awesome but very very cold. The venturi effect in the stadium made the cold worse. But it was a fun time anyway. That town rocks when the cadets and mids are there

From the Navy side, half the fun is running around Philly to the big pep rally in a public venue (probably not happening), the A-N boxing smoker (occasionally held, but probably not this year), the “Rocky Games” that include A-N runs up the famous steps (doubt it), large gatherings at tailgaters (nope), jamming on the train from Center City to/from the stadium (oh no no no), and at the game, being part of a crowd of people enjoying a special day, even if it’s wet, raw cold and windy. Alumni gather at private parties (doubt it this year) and the big pre-game Alumni Assn “tailgater” at the Navy hotel (not) and maybe even the A-N Gala (mostly for corporate sponsors, fat-walleted alumni, local dignitaries, athletic association senior staff at the Convention Center on Friday night, and who knows.). Army folks are doing similar things. The city and venues are packed, and there is, in precedented times, a feeling of friendly rivalry and being part of something special.

Sofa at home this year, whether or not fans are allowed.

I agree. If going to an Army Navy game is on your bucket list, the game is just one part of the experience, and this would not be the year to go. However, if you live near Philly, and it is not a major financial stretch, then go support the Cadets and Midshipman if they are allowing any fans to go.

Exactly....and why even if somehow, some way, our seat numbers won a lottery that could attend a reduced crowd.....exactly why we would perhaps forgo the event, and save the thousands of dollars we would spend.

We got the tickets as plebe parents. Funny, that at the time, I figured it would happen. Thinking that ”6 months from now, surely things will be different”. Silly me.

However, more and more stadiums are allowing reduced spectators. I know the Mayor has said no, but there could be a waiver or similar for this event.

JMHO, but even IF limited spectators are allowed, all the pre and post game events likely will not happen this year (or probably shouldn't). And any spectators also probably will not be able to interact with Midns/Cadets unless things change. Lots of money to attend at long distance, and to not get the "full" Army/Navy experience, like @Capt MJ will be on the couch.
