Army/Navy Weather.

We are attending our first game this year and while I'm excited, I am a California boy who is scared to death of the cold. Looking at the extended forcast, I'm seeing 41/30, mostly sunny, 11mph wind for that day. From some of the stories I have read on here, is it safe to assume that if that prediction holds up, it will be one of the better weather days in Army/Navy history?
Boy that would be great! I mentioned in an earlier post, I'd take 20 degrees and a foot of snow over the 96 game weather. Pouring rain, windy and 38-40 degrees is the worst.

Pretty sure the great weather forecast, is bc i bought one of those fancy personalized weatherproof blankets before the Big Game last year. Hauled it all the way to Met Stadium, and weather was equally nice. Didnt even take it out of the suitcase.

Haven’t used it yet. Its pretty neat, though.

I need to get back for an Army Navy game...been 38 years. (I was actually all set to go about 10 years ago, but then got hit with freak Midwest snow storm and got canx). I've always wanted to go under circumstances where I got to decide what I wear -- except for Pasadena in '83, it was always too hot or too cold in the prescribed Uniform of the Day.

DD saw it all in her four years as a mid.

4/C: Frigid and windy in Philly.
3/C: Temperate and raining in Philly.
2/C: Unseasonably warm at West Point (but the field was encased by a dense fog that obscured the view of the action).
1/C: Comfortably cool (think windbreaker or sweatshirt) in NJ.

So very clearly, YMMV. 😉

DS 2/C Mid sent me pics of the West Point game. He was in the upper tier. Literally could not see the field. My DS 4/C Mid was ON the field for the game, and literally could not see the upper decks. It was eerie. Especially since the stadium wasnt full, no general public spectators due to COVID. For sure a memorable event!

and creepy….

I’m boots on ground in Philly for the weekend. It’s brrrr brisk now. NBC10 spelled out the forecast. Cold tonight. Sunny and milder tomorrow. Not looking ideal for Saturday. Waves of rain and stormy wind for some of the day, it’s not the kickoff temp near 50 - it’s the falling temps when the sun goes down - especially if wet from earlier. I’ll be the guy dressed like to Gorton’s fisherman. Later up amigos.
Still a little early - we're 9 days out at this point for the game.

I remember the relatively recent game in Philly (I think) where the temps were in the 70s. We all bundled up, not fully believing the weather and folks were in short sleeves. I think it's one of the very few A/N games (other than the one in CA) where the mids didn't wear overcoats.
Pretty sure the shirtsleeves game was 2015...spouse was overseas and missed it. We've also been there when we had to brush the accumulated snow off of our seats before we could sit down, as well as when falling snow turned to rain. Ugh.
