Your son will receive a winners packet in the next week or so. They should start being mailed out this week. In the package, will be an acceptance letter to complete. You will have 30 days to accept which of the 3 offers you want. Go ahead and select even if your son hasn't been accepted yet. Their is an opportunity to transfer your scholarship this MAR/APR should he change his mind.

My son was a 3 year winner LAST year. He just got an email saying there was an update to his Dashboard. However when he tried to login he got a "locked out" error.

Could this be part and parcel of the same issues you are talking about?

Yes, most likely. Your son should be contracted now if he has met all contracting requirements. I not, he has until the end of this semester.
 
For those of us who didn't get selected in the first round, we can still change our school list, right? I used the "Contact Us" tab on the application and asked Cadet Command to see if I would be able to update my list and I was just wondering how long it might take for that to go into effect. With the second board coming up I'd like to have my list finalized.

It's not unheard of, many are offered 3 schools but sometimes it happens, my son was offered a 4 year to four schools and a 3 year to one when he went through the process, but that was a few years ago.

Have any first board winners heard anything about setting up the medical exam? MY DS made his school choice, we uploaded and it has been approved. So I know the exam is next. On the additional info tab is says we should receive an email. Just wondering if anyone has yet.

I also won first round and haven't gotten an email. It says to wait 30 days for an email before going to DoDMETS and scheduling it yourself. I feel like they would have emailed us by now if they were going to.
 
My DS already did his medical for the Naval Academy. He qualified. I just checked the status today and the US Army ROTC application was just submitted.
 
Ok just got the email this afternoon to begin the DODMerb process!
 
Quick question about the DODMERB process. My DS got the email today but do we also need to wait for a packet in the mail from Concorde before proceeding? That is referenced in several places.
 
I was also wondering about the packet Ive seen mentioned?! But nothing has arrived yet, I guess I will go ahead and call and make appointments. Does anyone know if there is a certain time frame or deadline within which the appointments have to be made? I would like to schedule of the holidays so he will not miss school but is that too far away?

Never got a packet in the mail last year. It was all online for me.

When does the second scholarship board meet and when can notifications be expected? Also if you already made a decision to attend a school does that affect your chances of getting an army rotc scholarship?

I would not do this, because, unless something has changed they will inform you of the doctors that they will use. Thus, your doctor might not be the one they use and you will have to go and re-book the appointments again.
