Application opens on 12 June 17*: Submit Documents By*:

1st National Board: 16-20 October 2017 1 October 2017
2nd National Board: 22-26 January 2018 7 January 2018
3rd National Board: 19-23 March 2018 4 March 2018

No, whether or not you have made a decision does not affect your chances of getting a scholarship. Selection is merit based and has nothing to do with what schools you have been accepted to or want to go to.

if appointments are not registered in the portal within 45 days you will receive an email from Concorde warning you.

Is there a way to know how many people apply in total for each round? Just trying to guesstimate my OML position and therefore my chances for getting selected.

My DD never received a packet in the mail for DoDMERB last year. It was all done online and quite easily, too. Holidays are upcoming quickly - I would think you would be fine scheduling for that time period, but of course, the sooner the better, in order to allow time for processing and taking care of any necessary remedials.

I would not do this, because, unless something has changed they will inform you of the doctors that they will use. Thus, your doctor might not be the one they use and you will have to go and re-book the appointments again.

Absolutely, you can't just use your own doctor. DoDMETS contracts with doctors in your area to conduct these exams; once they have that online for you, get those doctors' or clinics' names and then book.

No, and there is no accurate way for you to guesstimate. You won't know how the board ranked you, your PMS interview score or how you did on the CBEF. Nor will you know what the average scores are for other applicants.
 
Have the 2nd round scholarships been awarded yet? I noticed my sons status changed from boarded to pending/under consideration. Not sure if that means he wasn't selected the first round but is still under consideration or if it means he wasn't selected the 2nd round either.

The second board convened this week. Your son is currently on the scholarship OML, and those boarded this week will be added soon. Winners will be selected off of the OML and published in the next 2 to 4 weeks.
