Army ROTC 2014 Accesions & Active Duty

Umm I don't really consider a 3.35 GPA weak especially if it's a STEM major.
OP didn't mention major. Engineering gets a .1 GPA boost for OML, and Science/Math gets a 0.5 boost. It is not nearly enough to compensate for Engineering having a .3 countrywide average GPA below Humanities, or Science/Math being .2 ave. GPA below Humanities, but it's a start.

Solid improvement. Looks like you got close to straight A's in the fall semester. Repeat that, keep maxing the APFT, focus on LDAC prep., including working on land nav, and you should be in good shape for AD on the OML.

The best advice I can give you is never consider yourself safe. Do your best to maximize absolutely everything you can within your limits. When I started ROTC we were told active duty was pretty much a given if you had a 3.2 and a 270 APFT. Not anymore. If you have the time, take extra classes you know you can get A's in. The little things add up, especially at a school like yours where you're competing with a bunch of studs.

What planet are they living on. Recommendation to future candidates should be to do Chem or Physics or Math instead of ChemE, Mech E, or EE.

Dunn, I know you are only the messenger.

I believe he meant to say 1 point for Engineering and .5 for STEM.

Yeah during these times you can't really be safe and ease back when it comes to this, and i'm going to go full throttle until the end so worse case scenario i can say i did everything i could. I just wanted to get get idea of what my chances are so i know whether or not i should spend my summer once LDAC (or whatever they're going to start calling camp now) is done to pursue an internship to build my resume or go with summer training like CTLT. Also i am not a STEM major.

CTLT will give you points on the OML, so if you're gunning for DMG it's a good idea. It's also the closest thing you're going to get to the regular Army experience as a Cadet.
