Army ROTC 2022-2023 2nd Board

I wasn't sure if you could- it said to wait 30 days and if hadn't received it to email someone. Just wanted to see if anyone received it yet.
My DS did it for his application process for the Naval Academy last summer and we were able to use that exam so he didn't have to do it again for ROTC. Dodmerb issued an updated qualification letter a couple days after his ROTC award. I have heard that many applicants for ROTC/SA don't receive an email with instructions, it might get caught in your spam folder. My DS did not receive anything with instructions. He just logged onto Dodmets and scheduled an appointment. You should be able to go ahead and do it.

I sure wish we would have know to do this last year after my Son was awarded his 3 year. Still struggling through the process and hoping by some miracle he can get approved before the end of the semester as he was offered an upgrade to 3.5 year Army ROTC scholarship

I didn't know there was any such thing as a 3.5 year scholarship. How did he get that?

For anyone who did receive a 3-4yr scholarship, could you share what you got on the PFT? Thanks.
My stats were a little low but I have definitely improved since then and will take it again before the March board.
Here's what I got in December:
Pushups/min: 42
Situps/min: 51
1-mile run: 6:22
I just retook the test again and was much happier with my results.
51/58/6:03

They sometimes offer them after you get started with the Batallion and they can see how you are doing. He was also able to compete for extra funds this semester based on performance and grades which he received. Always ask your schools if they have any money for Room and Board too, as he was awarded that first semester before he even arrived. So there's opportunities for extra money on top of your 3 year.

Ok interesting!
And yep, my intended school (Wheaton College) also offers room and board.

Hi! I am 3-year AROTC Scholarship winner from the 2nd board, and I have an inquiry regarding upgrades to 4-years. (Yes, I did some research, and my school, UTK, does provide on-campus merit based ROTC scholarships, but I would love to contract as soon as I am in!)- I am also medically cleared already due to my examination for USAFA.

I did the only thing that could get me a higher standing on the OML, which was redoing my PFA, so here are my stats.
61 Push ups (was 55)
52 Sit ups (was 48)
7:18 Mile (I threw up, so that has to mean something right?)
Unfortunately, my mile increased by around 8 seconds but all others increased!
ACT- 32 Composite Superscore
GPA- 3.8... lower due to the fact that I moved schools, and they had a 7 point scale instead of the 10 point I was used to (some of my A's turned into B's!)

Just assuming that my resume is extensive, would I be considered competitive for a 4-year? Would love input, especially from those that received 4-years.

I'll be honest, I really don't like that new army logo. I still think a certain reddit post from SSG Kessler was a better option.

Great job on doing what you could do to improve your scores. Now it's wait and see. If you are still a 3 year once the scholarship awards end, I think the only place that can really answer your question is going to be your Batallion. It's going to depend on the funds they have available to them. I know of one Cadet that received a 4 year upgrade prior to the start of the year because a spot opened up at his Batallion after a 4 year winner decided to go to West Point. There were others in my son's Battalion that were offered upgrades at various times throughout this year, from the end of first semester to just recently. He was awarded a Room and Board scholarship last spring for the fall, and then went before a Scholarship Review Board for another award this semester. That was contingent on how his grades ended up first semester. He was offered a 3.5 year upgrade about a month ago. You are in a great position to contract if you already have your medical clearance, but you'll have to wait and see if the opportunity presents itself to upgrade.
