Howdy, was wondering if anyone had any information as to why some people have received their decisions/updates from the board and why some such as myself am still "Boarded/Under Consideration" and my SOI is not locked yet? Have some schools not received their lists and/or have all decisions not been made? Starting to worry but a decision is inevitable eventually I suppose.

IDK the answer, BUT I would 100% contact your top 3 schools and inquiry about campus-based scholarships! I'm currently doing that just in case.

Has been B/UC since the second board in JAN, nothing has changed since then.

we are on the same boat. hoping for the best

My son is also in the same position. Seniors making their final decisions on a Service could have an impact. I served as an MS III instructor and S3 in an ROTC BN (2007-2011) but didn't have much oversight into the ROO lane or knowledge into the scholarship boards so I too am flying blind right now.

I highly recommend to all those in waiting to reach out to the ROOs at your top three schools and ask about campus based and two year scholarships as this is another pathway to attain an ROTC Scholarship. We are also investigating joining a National Guard unit in the state of his top choice as their are many immediate benefits and pathways for tuition assistance to Soldiers and Airman. I am currently an officer about to retire from AGR and our state (RI) offers free tuition to all state schools on the day of enlistment with a commitment of one weekend a month and 15 days a year. All states offer similar tuition assistance packages. My son is going to take the ASVAB as a back up option at this point. We are planning for a plan A,B,C and D at this point.

Best of luck to all future cadets and God bless.

I talked to one of the schools yesterday on the list and they said they hadn't gotten their lists yet. (This was after people were posting that they had been selected). Otherwise, why would it just not say "Not Selected"? I just want a decision either way.
As I understand the ROTC selection process...all National decisions (be it winner, not selected, B/UC, between boards) is in the hands of Cadet Command. The colleges and universities have no authority to make National Scholarship decisions. When the results posted, yesterday...those came from the decision authority...being Army CC.

From there, I THINK the individual units/schools can extend certain (meaning different) offers to particular applicants, but that is independent of the National selection process we've all been following on the National AROTC portal.

As for portal updates...maybe there's a requisite period of lapse, before the administrivia catches up. Maybe some Skelton slots remain available.

Just have faith that no decision is the FINAL decision, WRT an applicant's future. There are always alternate avenues to explore, opportunities to reveal themselves, and options to get creative with future moves.

I wish you all the success you can handle, and urge you to press on and keep working the system.
