Army ROTC 3rd Board Results...

So I was declared a winner for a 3 year but it says the colleges are pending acceptance what does that mean?
 
Long time lurker, first time poster. My daughter was awarded a 3 year scholarship and we are very excited and grateful. I wish I had found this site a little bit earlier because she applied to the first board and probably should have waited based on her ACT... but thankfully the third time was the charm. So here is the question- The portal clearly shows a 3 year scholarship at her first three and only choices (all are in state schools so acceptance was not an issue). However, the second choice sent her an email congratulating her on receiving a 4 year ROTC scholarship. She is pretty set on her first choice since it is the state's only ROTC Nursing Center of Excellence, but is there a chance that this is not just a typo?

Congrats to your DD. I am assuming the 2nd choice school has an AROTC Nursing program? If your DD is interested in attending the 2nd choice school, have your DD call the school and inquire about the email. Maybe the school is upgrading her scholarship. It's worth a call.

Thank you and will do. The second choice is the primary state school and the local one to us (I even work there, but they don't give discounts to staff). Main campus has a strong ROTC, but once starting her junior year her classes would be an hour away from home and ROTC. Also... I am pretty sure she would prefer not to live at home.

My son received the Ike Skelton Early Commissioning Scholarship. All 4 schools listed are not ones he applied to. He has been accepted to four other colleges in NC. We are not sure what to do now.

His portal still says boarded/under consideration, but he received an email with the scholarship offer.
