Army ROTC 3rd Board Results...

If your SOI is locked, you will know. It has a red bar across the top of your screen when on the page. Not something you could miss.

Y'all think all the winners got theirs yesterday & the people who didn't get it are still B/UC and will hear today?

I'm guessing so, but if we didn't receive one then why wouldn't they tell us yesterday? It just doesn't make sense.

Not sure completely, but I called one of my schools yesterday around 6PM Est and they said tonight by the latest, and that they hadn't gotten their lists yet.

Remember just because they awarded doesnt mean all those people will accept the scholarship and they have 30 days or so to accept. So until someone says no, they havent said no.

Yeah it's all confusing though, somebody on another thread said they did get a notification today. So there's still hope.

Good news. I got four year to my top two but haven't gotten news from my third. Did I not get in or are they still reviewing my papers?

Just because you got an award to a school doesnt mean you got admitted to that school. You still have to go through the normal admission process.

It was about this time yesterday people's portals started to switch to B/UC to just Boarded, if it happens please let us know today!

Not sure what you mean. Official word comes from Cadet Command, not the schools. So, your award from Cadet Command should tell you to what schools the scholarship may be applied.

@KingZunzie is correct. It is not uncommon for offers to be made to 2 schools during the 3rd Board. Many schools have reached their quotas at this point. BUT - If you were not offered a Scholarship to THE school you want to attend - there are ways to get the Scholarship transfered there.

Long time lurker, first time poster. My daughter was awarded a 3 year scholarship and we are very excited and grateful. I wish I had found this site a little bit earlier because she applied to the first board and probably should have waited based on her ACT... but thankfully the third time was the charm. So here is the question- The portal clearly shows a 3 year scholarship at her first three and only choices (all are in state schools so acceptance was not an issue). However, the second choice sent her an email congratulating her on receiving a 4 year ROTC scholarship. She is pretty set on her first choice since it is the state's only ROTC Nursing Center of Excellence, but is there a chance that this is not just a typo?
It is most likely a typo on the part of the school. What the offer letter says is the actual offer. Individual programs are unable to upgrade national scholarship offers prior to the start of the school year (They can upgrade a 3YR National Scholarship during freshman year if they give up a campus based scholarship allocation for that mission set).

Ike Skelton JMC scholarship offers are made to students that are projected to miss the cutoff to a 3yr scholarship. A few may be offered a 3YR on this final board, but most will not receive a 3YR offer.

Long time silent watcher of this group. Hopefully my last as this is rough. Thanks again to the serious posters and ROOs. Your answers always help.

Note to future applicants. Don't play the game of watching ACT scores, team captain etc stuff too much. It will suck you down and you can't explain all of this. Just do your best.

Case in point, my DS number 2 had a much stronger application and scores than DS number 1. Number two did not get a national yet number 1 did.

At the end of the day DS 2 was already offered and accepted a campus based scholarship.

Net difference between the two. One has a pretty big fake check in a picture, the other does not. Other than that it is nothing.

Good luck to all. Stay healthy. Get good grades, please don't neglect anything. Cover your bases. All of them. Our family's road to commissioning has had unique health surprises, all of which have taken time to overcome.

For those of you that only chase grades and ignore the extra events, keep this year's class in mind. The OML is very different this year with academics being valued less than normal.

For those that didn't get offers, show up anyway. Very many get offered on campus scholarships. You will watch those with both and without scholarships fail and succeed. As an older NCO I could tell you many stories about excellent and poor officers, none of those involve what national scholarship they one or what ring they wear.

Well to be truthful, there are a few we yank chain's about the rings.

Be a success, be respectful, learn how to over come and really lead. Not just be a boss.
