Hey, I received the four year Army ROTC scholarship and I just got my results back from DODMERB. In December of 2013 I had acl and mcl reconstructive knee surgery. By fall of 2014, I was fully cleared and released by my surgeon. Since then, I have run cross country, track, lifted weights, and been the captain of my JROTC unit's PT team. I have received the code r220, meaning it's remedial and they want to see records concerning the surgery and my recovery. Does this sound more of a good thing or bad thing? PLEASE HELP

Help you what? Provide them with the documents they've requested and let the process work.

+1 Jcc123.

Follow the directions and don't panic.

Remember, DoDMERB is simply asking for more information. You should simply follow the remedial instructions and supply the requested information.....no more, no less.
If your records indicate complete release as you described, you should be okay.

Thanks so much you're right, I just have to send my records and pray for the best!

They want to see that it has been 12 months since the surgery, your knee is pain free and asymptomatic and you have no physical limitations. DoDMERB wants to see this from your medical records and from the reports from your physician.

It's not good or bad, it is just the process DoDMERB goes through to make a determination.
