Just a random thought....perhaps CC isn't updating the portals until after the letters are mailed - changing the order of how the information is processed. The portal was never the "official" notification, with limited manpower getting those letters in the mail faster actually benefits those awarded scholarships. You get all the details faster...
You hit the nail squarely on the head, the last board worked exactly that way.
CC updated CCIMS
Letters were written.
Letters were sent.
Applicants Status pages were updated.
Letters were received within just a few days after the status page update.
For those waiting I wouldn't count seeing any status page updates until the end of this week, maybe even the beginning of next week.
Since this is the last board CC needs to go through every application, make allocations to the schools and then use what Marist called the Alternate list to fill in the gap. This all takes a little more time then the first and second boards.
Don't bother calling the battalion ROO at your school of choice, the ROO's are told not to say anything until the letters are sent and received. As others have said, Nothing is final until you receive the letter.
QA1517's advice of Patience is a good one.
Once your cadet starts ROTC they will learn the need for patience quickly, it's almost a given that when the Army give a date for notification, they are almost always late.
There will be a date the OML is to come out, it will be later then that date. The actual date the branches are given out will be later then published. Even when my son applied for CULP, they said they would be notified by Dec. 15, he found out Jan. 3rd.
The results will come, and when the status pages start to change you will see people posting the results here quickly. There is really no need to ask if anyone has seen a status change, when they change, you won't have to ask, people will just post them.
One other thing, if after you receive a scholarship you find that you need to apply for a transfer, you will need to be even more patient. By that time the Government Employees Furloughs will most likely have started. There are not a lot of people that handle the scholarships at CC, take away one day a week and things will get a lot slower, it could take much longer to get information and have any request processed. This will be a very big test in patience for everyone.
Good luck to all the applicants.
