Army ROTC offers

Maybe the horizontally challenged lady hasn't sung yet! Good luck to all!

My son’s status changed this morning to include the school the ROTC Scholarship is offered at, his number one choice, THE CITADEL!
 
Status changed to "you have been offered a scholarship to... TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY."

:thumb: Yeah!

And congratulations to your son 49er!
 
offered to school NOT on list???

DD's changed from scholarship awarded to:

"you have been offered a scholarship to... Emory University".:confused:

Why the confusion, it wasn't on her list! It is a great school, and that is probably an understatement. I'm shocked that they would award a scholarship there considering how expensive it is. However, I don't think she could even get accepted if she applied. Her ACT scores aren't high enough.

She did accept her appointment to the Coast Guard Academy this weekend. So really it doesn't matter. But I'm still confused!
 
DS was offered a scholarship to his number one school Virginia Tech.:shake:
 
Post's relating recent changes to their status showing they have been offered a scholarship I would imagine are from those who may not have checked their status until recently. It may also have taken CC a while to get all the updates input to the system.

Now that the schools are being posted I would think that there will be no further offers for this board.

For those that have seen the schools show up on your status page, was there only one school listed or were you offered multiple schools.

Looks like most have received their top choice so far, thats great and congratulations to everyone.gravitationally challenged

This is my first post to the forums but I had to jump on and thank 49er for posting about the update. I hadn't been stalking my son's AROTC status since it changesd to scholarship offered but after seeing 49er's post, I did. Yahoo! His scholarship is to Embry-Riddle, the #2 choice on his list. I am so glad that Plan C is in place (Plan A is USAFA, Plan B would be an AFROTC scholarship).

No problem, we have been biting our finger nails off all week wondering where it would be to. He asked me to check today while he is at school. I have already sent him a text to let him know. Now we are just waiting for the offical letter to come in the mail.

I need to thank the long time posters on here. Their thoughts and experiences have been so helpful and I know it has helped my son achieve this scholarship.

49er: I am totally with you. We are truly grateful for all the people who have posted on this forum. I can't imagine going through this process without their wisdom and support. My DS has wanted to be an officer in the military long before he truly knew what it meant. It has been quite a ride so far and I can't wait to see where he ends up.

Emory was probably the host site. My status just changed to UC Berkeley.

DS status now updated to include only 1 school (instate public). Not his initial top choice, or even where he interviewed, but still very happy to have this opportunity!
