Army ROTC Scholarship Notification

Can't See Status of Application

Has the Cadet Scholarship Application Status System working for anyone? I have tried to check my status but I havent been able to get on the website for the past 2 weeks. I tried calling them but I can't get through. Does anyone know whats up?

My Daughter received her Army ROTC Scholarship a couple of days ago.

How about people living in Texas who have applied to a nearby out of state school? Does that make a difference in time to receive scholarship offers?

Since there was a problem with our last name, we tried calling Cadet Command today - and now both the phone no. for our point of contact as well as the main number to check scholarship status are both down. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I haven't been able to get through to them for a week. They've not responded to emails either so my guess is they are having some issues.
 
Yes, noticed that the website is still down..and has been for at least this past week.
Also, she (Texas) did apply for out of state and instate.
 
Cadet Command is (or used to be) located in Fort Monroe which is in Hampton Va.
That area has been pummled for the past two days with a serious Nor'Easter' which has brought hurricane force winds, heavy raiin, power outages and serious flooding.

Give them a couple of days.

Other than 2 days at the very beginning of November, the scholarship status site has been down for the better part of three weeks. Whatever the problem(s), it predates the rain.

When is the next board for AROTC scholarships ? The website is still down....

Yes, we have been trying to reach the 1-888 no. for the last few days and haven't been able to get through. The rain might address that issue; I also wonder if there are any security issues right now due to the attack on Fort Hood.
 
OK, Here is a question for those families who received scholarship awards in the first round...

What was the date on your letter, and what date is the deadline for your decision to be received at Cadet Command?

And what date were you given to complete the DoDMERB by?

I'm curious as IIRC, the online statuses changed on Nov 2 (correct me if I am wrong) and I want to see if the 30 day dates are based upon the website or a mailing date.

In the event she is awarded a scholarship in the next board, we may have some logistical issues that dictate where/when my daughter gets her physical (she is in a boarding school 1000 miles from home and she doesn't turn 18 until early February, so might have an issue doing the physical locally near her school). We would also like to be able to plan how we deal with a joint hockey/ROTC decision in a short timeframe.

AROTC letter was dated Nov 5th.
Deadline to accept Dec 5th
DodMerb was done earlier (Summer time) due to other applications in at Academies.

Cadet Command was closed due to flooding. They are back open and running now.

Very helpful as a start. I imagine many of the scholarship recipient in the first batch either had an academy physical, or got approved for the physical before they changed the system to physical-after-offer.

It look like the website gives you a couple days notice before the letters go out and DodMERB site gets the word.

I'll be curious if the DoDMERB timeframe exactly matches or lags the scholarship timeframe. If anyone got both letters, I'd be interested in hearing.
 
Goalie Dad,
Scholarship Notification Letter Dated 11/5. Received the letter 11/10?

Deadline for Acceptance 12/5
"We will confirm your attendance in May 2010. If at that time you need to change the school you choose to attend, we will take that change request into consideration."

DODMERB/Concorde Letter arrived 11/14 with 5 days to respond from receipt. "You must respond with your appointment dates within 5 days of receiving this letter either via email or by using the website." We scheduled it and responded with exam dates online. Online and in the letters we were provided the closest exam locations but there was an icon to change locations on the website.
Important reminders indicates "Complete all examinations within 6 weeks."
