Hey guys! Quick question, i'm currently a Junior in high school, and in my infinite wisdom (just kidding), I decided to open the Army Rotc application so I could get a head start on the application process. I looked at it today and it said that I was disqualified because I am graduating in 2016. I'm thinking that will go away when the application opens to my class. Am I wrong? Should I just wait for it to go away? Or do I have to contact anyone? Thanks for your time!

The application is only for seniors. As a junior, you shouldn't be worrying about doing the actual application until sometime this summer. Right now, I would personally recommend staying away from the application, it has the chance of leading to problems when you start your senior year application. What you can be doing is: preparing for the physical test (do push-ups, sit-ups, and go run), get into contact with ROTC units you're interested in (ask their recruiter questions about their program, maybe set up a visit), and definitely prepare for the ACT/ get some extra curriculars and leadership roles under your belt as they become important during application time.

Thanks so much!

This summer I'm going to bet you when you log in you will see the opportunity to open an application for your yeargroup. You will also probably still see the old disqualified application. I apply every year and I can currently open last years and this years application. If they change something and it's not that way this summer just contact Cadet Command and I'm sure they will square you away.
