AROTC 2nd Board Waiters 2015

I'm thinking my schools might be what's holding me back right now because they are all large state schools. This is the list in order on my application. I also listed the school's decisions on my applications. Thanks!
1. University of Maryland- Accepted
2. University of Connecticut
3. Purdue- Accepted
4. Colorado State University- Accepted
What area do you think you lack in? I only have a 31 ACT so you're close

Well that's a good question. I did well on my fitness test and interview and the PMS at Colorado was very complimentary. I have leadership in EC's First Sergeant in Civil Air Patrol, Soccer Team Captain, I am leading a team at my work that is responsible for maintaining laser cutters and 3D printers. So I'm not sure but my main theory is lack of scholarship availability for the schools I selected. Thanks.

Great schools and congrats on being accepted to University of Maryland and Purdue! I originally listed in my top three: St. Edward's University (private and small), Trinity University ( private and super small), and University of Texas - San Antonio (Huge state school) and they didn't award me the scholarship to University of Texas - San Antonio but instead to Norwich University which private and really small and was my 4th choice. Although I got a 3-year AD because all private but extremely happy none the less!!!!

Well congratulations on your acceptances as well! I'm from Colorado and I've only heard of University of Texas obviously being such a large school. There are some students from my school who want to go to Texas after graduating.

Thanks! And I have a good buddy who's at Boulder this year and loves it. Good luck on the next board I feel confident about you getting a scholarship since you have great EC's, test scores, and grades.

Thanks so much! I guess I'll have to hunker down into hibernation again just like last time. Wake me up when it's time to graduate am I right!

I am just curious, were there any females that were awarded an Army ROTC scholarship?

Idk why you are not even a 3 year recipient in the least.

Thanks! Something must have of gone wrong somewhere, but it is what it is. If I still don't end up getting a scholarship I'm still going to do ROTC.

Maybe you left something out of your profile? Did you fill out the extra information portion where you clarify your achievements?

I mentioned all of that in that section. The other thing I'm suspecting too is that I didn't upload any letter's of recommendation because I heard that they weren't used in considering applicants, is that true?

Quick question, I just received an AROTC scholarship and there is a box below that indicates if a waiver is required. I have already received my dodmerb results and they stated that I didn't meet the requirements due to a recent foot surgery. The box I was previously talking about says "No waiver required." I was a little confused as these two things contradict each other. Did this happen to anybody else, and do I really not need a waiver? Also, congrats to everybody else who received a scholarship and best of luck to those who have been differed to the third board.

So excited for my son today. We just found out that he has been awarded the 4 year AROTC scholarship. I am a retired army 1SG. Being a soldier is a great thing. He was a board winner from 2nd board. He was boarded on the 1st board but was not a "winner." He did not dwell on the fact he was not selected on the first board and just went about his normal rotuine of school, sports and community involvement. He now has 4 year AROTC offers to Western Kentucky University, East Tennessee State University and Austin Peay State University. All his top choices. He also has already applied and been accepted at all 3 school. Now he has to make a decision. We plan to visit each school, take a tour and speak with the ROTC programs. Then make the decision. Each of these schools also help with room & aboard. All are great schools. We will eagerly await the "official" offer in the mail. So congrats to all the individuals whom were selected today,. You should be thankful and proud. To others whom are boarded, just hang in there. Good luck to all you future soldiers.

That's true, LOR's aren't part of the board review, I don't think there is even a way to include them in your application.

There is, if you look in the file upload section an option is "Letter of Recommendation"

If you guys don't mind me asking, what did four year winners have for ACT/SAT? I'm just curious to see
