My daughter the exact GPA and superscore, she also had similar activities but also 2 varsity letters. She received a scholarship 3rd board for 3 years. However there are tons of factors, including your interview and survey. Just keep positive and keep plan B in mind. Meaning pick a school you can afford as a backup and plan on attending in the Fall and competing for a campus based scholarship if the national board doesn't select you. I know it is a long wait, my daughter didn't have an answer until April 4th last year. Good luck!I didn't win and I have the following
ACT: 26 super score
UW GPA: 3.57
20-30 hrs a week work during school year
Master of Ceremonies
2 academic clubs
Church Group leader
CYO Basketball (no varsity as I am homeschooled)
Then for the PFT: 64 push-ups, 40 sit-ups, and 6:14 mile
I'm hoping this is enough to win at least something!
You do roll over do not worry. And yes nursing is at the same board. My daughter is currently an MS1 on a 3 year national scholarship and she received her scholarship 3rd board, but was boarded on the second. Your name will stay on the list with your boarded score. Remember this board they only award several hundred while the next two boards historically have been around 1000 each.So are the boards separate for Army nurse applicants or are they all on the same board? And if your status has been on "boarded" and you didn't receive a scholarship this go around, does that mean your application won't roll over to the next board? If you have any information on this please respond .
He sounds very competitive, first board is only a few scholarships compared to the later boards, good luck to him! And yes, waiting is a killer!DS didn't win this round either. 32 ACT. 4.0 unweighted GPA, several AP classes and college dual enrollment Varsity baseball, part time job, volunteering and decent PFA. Interviewer said he would highly recommend him so that went well. Also won Dwight d Eisenhower leadership award. Hoping for better luck next round but the waiting is a killer! On a positive note he got an acceptance letter to University of Alabama today, and his ACT score qualifies him for some very generous scholarships. Dream school is Clemson though and ROTC scholarship would definitely make that more affordable.
Wait, I'm so confused... I didnt get one.. but I have like 3.8 UW GPA, 31 ACT, scores perfect 200 on MUN interview... I though I would've received something...
There you go, since you asked. Hopefully I didn't come off as being Braggy!!
You did............................but so what. She deserves all the props she can get and I know from experience that you and her father had plenty to do with her success. Her resume is indeed impressive. If she can't get into WP, they might as well shut the place down. Does she have any desire top play soccer at WP?
Yeah, I see that. I was nationally ranked in several activities, and I received a scholarship to study Arabic in Morocco from the government from Pete's sake. I thought I was good lol. I really want to see the the people who got it. I will say that one of my friends applied (she is Valedictorian of my HS and perfect GPA and SATS and other great stuff, and she still didn't get it).
That's not my intent at all. I'm quite over it now. I'm not pressed anymore. I'm simply impressed by all the amazing kids who got the scholarship is all. I'm sorry it came out wrong.s
I don't want to seem insensitive to your disappointment, but don't compare use of to others who won, don't go down the road. And one more time, you did not, nor did your friend, "not get it", the decisions are not complete until March. By comparing others stats you will drive yourself crazy and also risk disparaging the accomplishments of others.
