AROTC / Admissions Decision

Hello:

I have received a 3 year AD AROTC Scholarship to a certain University.
My SAT composite score is 2070. Their average SAT score is 2060. My cumulative GPA is a 3.29. Their average cumulative is a 3.69.

I have plenty of community and service extra-curriculars (I got an ROTC scholarship....) but what I want to know is:

My admission file is only mediocre. Will the fact that this certain university is private and the fact that I have been in contact (several times) with the PMS at the University help my file? Will the PMS be able to support my application at all?? This certain school is a great back up to USMA, and I would love if the PMS there could give the app a little boost.

What do you guys think?

^^^ At some schools the cadre can help. At others they can't. It certainly can't hurt to contact the unit and see if they can use some pull. You should contact them anyway since you received the scholarship.

This makes me more confident. Your GPA is basically the same as mine (3.1 but will raise one this semster is over), have a good sum of extra curricular and technical skills, and my SAT was lower but my ACT was good. Good luck.
