On the application where you report your sports participation it has several boxes an applicant can check: years played, captain, varsity letter, "all-state, district, city or county."

DS plays football for a private school in a conference in a large metropolitan area and was named to league's all conference team. Anyone know if the box "all-state, district, city or county" and all conference are same recognition for application purposes? There is no district (unless district is same as conference), city or county recognition in our state. The only thing other than all conference would be state wide recognition.

My initial answer to him was that all conference is not "all-state, district, city or county" so I would not check the box. But thought I would see if those who are in the know and work with these applications more frequently can shed some light.

Imo, district and conference have the same meaning. Also, it’s sequentially correct

City-county-district (conference)-state.

I would say to check it. My boys were conference champs in different sports/events. They checked it. And probably talked about that in their interviews.

It’s a significant accomplishment!!
