Need advice regarding my number 2 college choice.
My DD was very fortunate to win a 4yr scholarship to her top two college choices. I prefer the no. 2 choice, which is a top school and offers an enhanced scholarship plus being close to home. DD, though, wants her first choice, which is also a top school but is far away and will be more expensive. I want to get accepted at both then figure out the best fit. The scholarship award obviously plays a role in getting accepted at the No. 1 choice, but what about No. 2? Does mentioning the scholarship at No. 2 cause a potential backfire since they weren't first choice?
I am out of my depth here--what's the best way to leverage winning the scholarships at multiple schools for acceptance without becoming the proverbial dog with a bone?
