Hello,

I am working on finishing my AROTC App. Just have to take my PFT and take my interview. When is the most strategic time to submit my application. I want as many boards as possible to see my application, so do I turn it in ASAP? Or do I want until the first board passes?

Thanks!

If your application is as strong as it's going to be, submit it in time for the first board.

your file is only going to be seen by one board. That board will give your file it's board score. That score will be added to all the other scores from the process and that score goes into the Order of Merit. Offers are made each round based on your order of merit, so if you score high enough on the first board then you get an offer. Don't score high enough you remain on the OML and wait for the next round of offers. Your file doesn't get rescored. So, if you get in before the first board then you could potentially have three chances at offers. Don't rush if you think your file isn't ready, but if it is then I think getting it in by the first board gives you the most chances at an offer.

Make sense?
