AROTC January Board Acceptance

:"no available scholarship allocations at your school"

I just received an email informing me I have won a 4 Year scholarship. However, my status has not changed online. Also in the email, this was stated: Of the schools you listed in your application there are currently no available scholarship allocations. Can someone please tell me what my next step is? The top three schools on my list are Virginia Tech, The Citadel, and Ohio State. I am already academically accepted at The Citadel. Do I need to apply to other schools?

Thanks!

My son also received an e-mail from Cadet Command (Feb 11th) telling him he has received a 4-year scholarship, but "no available scholarship allocations are available at any of his 7 schools." The note suggest that he consider applying to another school and to let them know.

My son wrote to Cadet Command inquiring if there is a list of schools that still do have allocations - no answer from Cadet Command - just auto-replys.

Stats: (low) ACT 28, GPA 3.18 (11th grade slump), varsity athlete, self employed laborer, family military history on all sides, great recommendations & he had a great interview.

His 7 choices were:

Virginia Tech
Rochester Institute of Tech
Drexel
Northeastern
Penn State
North Carolina State
Wentworth Tech (Boston)

He has admissions to Drexel, Northeastern, Wentworth & SUNY Maritime so far. He is also a USFA & USMA Candidate with nominations.

He's not sure what his next move is. Any advice?

Thanks... "laxmum"

Question

I had my kidney removed at 2 weeks old. I have since had doctors say im in great shape to do anything, including join military. However, will they waive my condition or not?

Same thing happened to us. First thing we did was contact the PMS at my son's first choice school. They contacted Cadet Command (CC) and are working with CC to resolve the issue. Seems like it's working because yesterday we received an e-mail from CC informing us that they are working with the school to come up with a solution.

Bottom line: the best thing you can do at this point is to contact the PMS at the school(s) you want to go to and work with them.

My status still hasn't changed about accepting the scholarship. I tried emailing my point of contact and atccps. Does anyone have a number I could call to see if they received my letter? I don't want that march date to sneak up on me if for some reason they didn't get it.

My son's just changed yesterday.

I faxed my acceptance letter the day I got it and mailed it back to CC. I faxed it again 3 days ago and my status still hasn't changed either.
