Hey! I was awarded an AROTC scholarship. My JROTC instructor wants a certificate to present to me at senior night. Does anyone know how to obtain one? Cadet command won't respond and neither will my school I'm using it at... Thanks

The ROTC Battalion closest to your high school will probably be tasked to cover down on your awards night, and someone will be expected to come present the certificate. Will that happen? I don't know. I know that every spring I spend a couple evenings sitting through awards nights waiting to present the certificates, especially at my JROTC feeder school. I would suggest you try the ROTC Battalion closest to your high school and see if they have a plan to send a presenter. I'm sure they would also be more than happy to send the certificate and have your JROTC instructor make the presentation. Keep in mind that the third board has not even met yet, so you are jumping the gun a little.

Thanks! My school's senior night is the beginning of April so my JROTC instructor is asking me.

A couple more thoughts on the subject. April is kind of early in our cycle. We won't even have all the third round offers resolved yet, so unless someone is proactive you may be out of luck. Your JROTC instructor might want to reach out to the local Senior ROTC program to see about certificates. If he isn't getting any response, nothing is stopping him from recognizing you at Awards night with or without a certificate. Again, I can't speak for your situation, but I know that every spring I attend the awards night for my local JROTC unit and then go back for senior awards night and recognize the winners in front of the whole school. Had 7 to give out two years ago.
