AROTC Scholarship question??

Is it possible to have an offer from two different brigades in your letter? Keep in mind, I haven't received the formal letter in writing as of right now.

Yes it is possible. At this time of year, who knows?

So perhaps a call to CC is in order Monday morning to find out what is in the letter.

alright guys... heres the update on my current situation. Today, after making several calls, I was finally able to get into contact with my brigade OIC for this matter and he gave me all of the details that I needed. In fact, he emailed Cadet Command and had them send me a copy of my award letter. He also said that a transfer (MAY) be possible after I accepted the scholarship if 1. I have been accepted to the institution I'm requesting (which I have) and 2. I can give a valid reason for requesting a transfer. My question only now is, how long might it take for this transfer to go through? Also, does anyone have a "To-go-by" format for a letter that I could send to cadet command requesting my transfer?

I sent in my Request for Transfer on April 2nd and received notification of its approval today April 23rd via email.

I provided documentation of my rejection letter from my "scholarship" school, and also added sheets that showed the difference in tuition(just to make the deal look that much sweeter). I also discussed that the school I was transferring to included me in special programs such as the honors program and what not. I stated that this ROTC(ranked 6th in the nation) and school are right for my academic needs. As simple as that.

However, according to the letter sent to me by CC awarding me my scholarship, it states "Transfer requests must be received by this headquarters no later than 12 April 2013." so I wish you the best of luck sending it in late! I was extremely nervous about the whole procedure and understand how you must feel. I hope it turns out well for you!!!

This same sheet also states: "ALL decisions will be made no later than 5 May 2013." as heads up.

I don't think anyone can answer the first question for you, especially since you are turning it in late. When you might receive it may be completely different from all others who turned it in by April 12th. The thing is no one understands how CC works - only the folks down at CC knows how it works.

To answer your second question, I'm not sure what you mean by "to go by" format. If you are asking how the letter should be formatted, it frankly does not matter. Personally, I used the Army memorandum for record format. But that is completely optional and will get you no bonus points whatsoever.

For me, my transfer wasn't because I was rejected or anything, I just wanted to go to Penn State!! Probably the biggest factor was that the transfer was from OOS private to IS public. That, and I just put in a lot things to make Penn State's engineering program and Bn look extra good. The letter is basically where you want to make that school/Bn look better than your awarded school.
