AROTC scholarship transfer requests

Do you know if a spot was open at the in-state school? Maybe that was the issue?
 
Btw my portal status has updated itself reflecting my transfer. Maybe yours now has changed too :)
 
I've been waiting patiently for a decision on my transfer request, but no news yet. My portal status hasn't changed - no emails, no snail mail. The ROO at the college I want to transfer to hadn't heard anything as of last Friday. Just wondering how many have received a decision on their request. This waiting is tough...

DS received transfer request email from CC yesterday.
It was approved but modified to a 3 yr because all 4 yr spots had already been taken. He is very thankful and appreciative of his ROO's support.
He is so excited that he's going to be a part of Three River's Battalion.
 
As I recall the date I had seen elsewhere on the forum for final resolution of transfer requests was May 5, so it might be early next week.

Prior to the April 12th deadline I had re confirmed with CC that they had received the transfer. On that response, the date for notification was pushed back to NLT May 30 th.
I think the only reason DS got email this soon was because ROO was in contact with upper command at Brigade.
 
DS received an email that his scholarship transfer request was disapproved. Does anyone know if there is any opportunity to appeal the decision?
 
5 may is the day I was told by Cadet Command. Emails are starting to be received by my transfer requesters, so it won't be long
 
Update: DS resubmitted his request for transfer of his 4 year scholarship after receiving a denial. It has now been approved!
 
DS emailed his poc at USACC and asked if he could appeal. His poc explained generic reasons for the denial and at the end of his email he said "you may resubmit if you wish." DS resubmitted explaining even more in depth why he wanted the transfer and how much he wanted to serve as an officer and 2 days later he received an email saying the transfer was approved! :smile:

Does anyone know if "downgrades" (4yr to 3yr) happen automatically w/transfer?

Hi, I know this is last year's thread, but can anyone from this thread or current who has successfully made a transfer, or who just knows, shed any light on this question?

If a transfer is requested & then approved but downgraded, does the awardee still have the option to keep the "old" school w/4yr?

Will ask CC, but sometimes it is slow to respond...
