AROTC scholarship transfer

What are the chances and process of transferring an activated scholarship. I’ve been at my school for a few weeks and things are very different from how they were made to seem. I’m looking at transferring the scholarship to another in state school unit that is actually cheaper and keeping the same major. How would I go about this? Thank you!
 
I would recommend talking with your ROO and the ROO of the school you plan to transfer to.
 
^^^^^ What he said. Your cadre has the answers to these questions. Also, what makes you think it will be better somewhere else? Is the issue the school or the unit?

BTW - Transfers are sometimes with loss of scholarship.
 
There is a regulation for this - my kid is in the process of doing it. Be transparent with both detachments; you need permission and a recommendation from the losing unit to do this, and permission and acceptance from the CO of the receiving unit. Also, you need your new school to confirm you can finish your selected major in the allotted time. Start with the cadre at your current school, and cc the ROO at the receiving detachment so everyone is aware of what you are trying to do.
