AROTC Scholarship Transfer

Hi y'all
I requested to have my 4-year scholarship transferred to another school that I've accepted my offer of admission to. Are AROTC scholarships transferred easily for the most part? Should I be concerned with the possibility of my transfer request being denied?

Well, if you're the least bit concerned about this then you did it backwards

Generally speaking transfer requests are not a big deal, but nothing in life is guaranteed and some have been denied in the past, but none on these boards recently, that I recall.

Have you reached out to the ROO at the battalion you are seeking to transfer to?

The ROO would be able to tell you if their cadet mission has been fulfilled or not.

I have and have not heard anything negative. How long to scholarship transfers normally take?

It varies year to year depending on the workload at Cadet Command. The ROO should be able to give you an idea of how long Cadet Command is taking. (Sorry, my parental ROTC experience is a bit stale as it has been almost two years since my DS has commissioned).

It is indeed a good sign is that the ROO did not discourage you from transferring.
