"the individual universities hold selection boards and the PMS will select the individuals to be offered a scholarship to their school. Any offer of a scholarship is tied to the name of the university listed on your notification letter and cannot be used at another university."

Does the above statement still hold true for AROTC scholarships or does a general board meet and then you choose from one of the schools you listed on your application? l

I'm not sure where you took the above quote from, but it sounds as though it is making reference to an "In college scholarship" that of course would be tied to that particular school.

For most scholarship applicants the following is pertinent.

I hope I understood your question correctly.

Will be visiting Duke and Univ of Va next week. That is a question we have on the list. Son cut his list down to 5 schools instead of 7 in hopes that all 5 will stay on the list.

Also visiting with NROTC and AFROTC....each program is so different it's hard to keep track.

One of my top AROTC schools is UVA as well. I spoke with the prof. of military sciences there last week, and he was eager to answer any questions I had. I hope to get down and visit soon. Let me know how he likes the school and program.

vampsoul...
I'll give you a report when we return!

To date, son has visited 3 other schools. Duke and UVA will round out the list. Problem is that son likes every school we visit! ROTC staff and cadre are always so helpful, it's hard to make a choice.
