Well, my mother just put the house on the market, and I was wondering if I should change my address now to my grandmothers house. I don't want to lose any important paperwork, or have it delayed. So, my question is: What papers are there still to come, and approx. when will they come?

edit - I won't have my own address until I get to college, because my mom is moving to Florida with her long time fiance(she stayed up here until I was finished). So, if the house were to sell within the next 4 months we would have to live at my grandmas anyways.

Definitely run this one past the ROO when the home actually comes under contract (sales agreement completed). It takes at least 30 days to close the transaction, so during that time you can send the appropriate address to the unit and Cadet Command.

In this slow real estate market, you may not sell until summer and you may already know your campus address (dorm assignment) at that time.

We have been dealing with some of the same issues (2 different addresses) as goaligirl is at a boarding school 1000 miles from home. We had to make sure the contracts were emailed as the timing was too close to her spring break to risk having it end up at school when she was home.

In the end your ROO will help you with all of this until you show up on campus.

We moved from Singapore to Texas the day after high school graduation. I remember son filling out some paperwork before graduation, giving the final acceptance. Then in the summer he had a packet of paperwork to fill out: in case of emergency info and dental records, direct deposit, etc that came from the school ROTC unit. Definitely call the ROTC unit and find out what and when they send out this stuff out.
