Current Medical Status: Pending waiver submission/review

I sent them all my medical records but I was not formally diagnosed by any doctor nor have taken medication for any of these. It was merely suggested by a school counselor. I sent them a memo from the counselor, the doctor, and all the papers I could and they still disqualified. I was instructed by them to tell my Army ROTC unit thats the last thing to do is submit a waiver, to Cadet command then they will decide.

What are the chances, time frame?
How does this work?
Its not severe, no meds, no nothing. But its holding me back.

I still have to train hard with them until I get waivered so I dont fall back just in case. I am very committed and want this to work out..

Any advice? I am a first semester MS2

Depending on the medical credentials of your school counselor (yes some of them have a clinical license), their statement has weight.

Medication isn’t recommended for an adjustment disorder, but it’s still a valid diagnosis. For you to be DQ’d for an adjustment disorder, you have to have “something” in your file from the past 2ish years. You might wanna take another look at your medical records.

Rgr..the counselor was not certified, and all the additional medical info was provided regarding that, so having no treatment, are there chances pf getting waivered? If so, how long is the time frame and what advice do you have?..

I’m confused. How did your treatment get annotated into your medical record if the psych provider wasn’t credentialed?

My guess is that he probably answered yes on the application. Persaonlly I think that was a mistake as it has never been diagnosed by a professional.

You’re probably right. He’s probably going to have some remedials in his future.

That is correct, I did get remedial, and after additional medical information a disqualification. My ROTC unit will wait until January to submit the waiver so I have more merit and a higher GPA to become more favorable for the waiver to be granted (three A's). Then again, the current status went from "Pending waiver submission/review" to "Does not meet medical standards". Was this changed due to waiting time? Moreover can the status be changed and later then be permitted to submit the waiver? Should I also call DODMERB in order to notify them its not untul January for the waiver submission? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
