AS OF 5 NOV SA DOWNLOADS TO DODMERB FOR CLASS OF 2025

So I am curious — approximately how many candidates get medically DQ’d each year and have to seek a waiver? I’m sure those stats are out there somewhere. It seems like there are a lot of DQ’s but perhaps it is misleading because the ones with issues are the ones who post with questions.

If you search Mr. Mullen's previous "As of" updates in the past few months - I think he answers that question. If I have it saved, I'll post it here. It is interesting to see those numbers.

A = it depends on the program and depends on the applicant. An exceptionally rough guesstimate is 12% get DQd and of that 12%, 4 % don't get waived. BUT....and there's always a BUT in life....that stat is meaningless when your discussing one applicant :wiggle:

Deputy Chief Mullen, just to clarify - "An exceptionally rough guesstimate is 12% get DQd and of that 12%, 4 % don't get waived" - does it mean that a third of the DQd don't get waived or 4% of all DQd don't get waived? Thank you for all your help.

So approximately 25% of the people who are DQ'ed do not get a waiver. I guess it all depends on the severity of the DQ condition.

Of course! I totally understand.

In my world, once you put a number out there, it gets legs and everyone holds you to it - often to the detriment of the mission.

(Quite a big problem in the space flight hardware world, where estimates change all the time)!

NO.
EXAMPLE ONLY AND A GENERALIZATION =

100 folks are identified as applicants
88 get Q;
12 get DQ;
3 don't get waived =
97 applicants get in with Q or DQ with waiver. 3 don't get in.:bounce1:
Feel bad asking but....to clarify. The 3 that don’t get waived in this scenario, is that because a waiver was requested and then denied? OR they never received waiver consideration at all because the SA never asked?

The only number that matters to you is if you get DQd, will you be waived. Case-by-case-by-case-by-case-basis

Q/DQ/Waived

WEST POINT = 3357

USCGA = 821

USAFA = 4404

USNA = 6254

USMMA = 376

Are these the most current SA Download numbers for DODMERB for the Class of 2025? If not, could you please provide the most current numbers when you have time.
