It's up to her. I wore my boots to I-day because they told all the preppies to do so (so they could differentiate preppies from everyone else). We definitely got singled out for it on the footprints.

Word on FB is to wear the boots and high socks if you have them. They are having the cadets change into their boots if they brought them.
 
Hey, thanks for this thread--there are some awesome responses! I am a current LEAD applicant and I am hoping to at least gain admission to the prep school. My stats look something like this:

-SAT: 1010 (550 CR/W, 460 math)--Retesting soon
-Hs GPA: 3.43 (Background in honors Pre-calc, Physics, & Chem) & currently enrolled in three college classes (College Algebra, Writing 101, and Psych)
-Tech school distinguished grad (99% avg)
-Yellow rope
-Base honor guard; Honor guardsman/QTR--put up for achievement medal by NCOIC.
-89 on CDCs
-PTL; participated in many run-a-thon events & scored a 99.7 on last PT assessment.
- Junior enlisted council member
- I also received an endorsement from my base commander.

I'm not sure what my chances are with this, but I'd rather try and fail than not try at all. I am really hoping to gain insight on my current stats from any prior-e cadets. Much thanks!
