I applied EA. The next day I let my AO know that I would like to do an interview. I was told that it would be with an Academy Partner since I'm in an area that does not get that many applications. It's November 2 and I have not received a call. I did let my AO know that I have not been called yet and he said that I'm still on the list. Is this a bad sign? I have been to AIM, I attended Cadet for a Day to shadow an athlete. I have been in contact with the coach for over a year and he said that I'm one of his top athletes. Should I worry?

No need to worry. My DS submitted a request for an interview too and has yet to conduct it. He did get a call about 2-3 weeks after the request from a member of the USCGAux. He's been in contact but now my DS and him are trying to align the time and place. It's optional so it shouldn't hurt your application. There are the logistics of getting it all squared away and finding the person in your area to conduct one.

Again, no need to worry. Logistics can be an issue. As you are outside the usual application area it can be hard to make connections. Rest assured it does not count against you if you don't get an interview.

Have you checked your junk email? My son was contacted by the academy partner through email.

Seems like most Cadets come from the coast states.
The small town in Alaska that we live in has a cutter and a buoy tender based out of it. The first officer who was assigned to conduct the interview with my son we knew personally. Someone else was assigned in his place. The captain on the buoy tender had invited my son to go on a trip with them over the summer as well. I would contact admissions and let them know of your case again. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Several cadets from Kentucky. MT, ID, ND are a bit less common.

My cadet requested an interview during her application process. She was accepted to the academy before an interview was arranged. Hence, she never had an interview. Since you have followed up, I wouldn't worry about it.
