Hello,
Our DS has ~not~ received a scholarship from NROTC - MO. Although it may be extremely selective, our DS has really high merits in all the areas, was extremely knowledgeable at the interview and has a strong bearing. He very well may not "win" the MO scholarship, however. In case he, does, he will have a large decision of puzzle pieces involving a couple of schools and financial decisions. He won an Army 4 year scholarship, which he can use for room/board since our State has almost all tuition covered. At our very selective and desirable flagship State U, he was admitted to Honors and tuition is almost free. However, there is no Marines Option here. His heart was very, very much into the Marines and we want to prayerfully and wisely consider his future options. If Auburn helps with room and board, that would make it an even situation financially, except with larger strings attached.
Again, I don't know if he will even get the MO scholarship (he is/we are thrilled with his Army and flagship State U opportunity), but since the decision must be turned around very, very quickly, the financial quandry of room and board is a huge one. So any info on Auburn? DS earned the highest Auburn award for out of state and he was admitted to Auburn Honors college. thank you
