Aviation Character Enrichment Program (ACE)

Is anyone familiar with this program? I was unable to find any info on the forum. DS received info about attending summer flight training prior to FFS prep school. It seems like an incredible opportunity.
Just curious if anyone has done it and thoughts on 4 school options.
 
My DD received an e-mail yesterday for the same program. She also is a Falcon Scholar. I searched the web and found a few news articles regarding this program. Sounds like last year was the first year this program was held. I could not tell if Falcon Scholars were invited as part of the target audience last year. I read the ACE program was held at Delaware State University and there was 24 students. Of the 24 students 22 ended up flying solo by the end of the program. My DD has replied back that she would like to be consider. As you stated it is a great opportunity. Regarding the flight schools I don't know anything about them. She ranked her choices more based on location to our home and ease of travel. If selected we will figure out how to get her to which ever one they assign her.

Thx so much for your response. He is definitely interested and will go if selected. Good luck to your daughter at prep school. DS is going to NWP and so happy for the opportunities that await. ✈️
 
Just wanted to provide an update. My DD was selected to attend the ACE program in Los Angeles in July. She will also be attending NWP this Fall. Hopefully she will meet other NWP Falcon Scholars at the ACE program.
 
Just found out DS didn't make the cut, but it was sure fun thinking about it. What an amazing opportunity for those chosen. Best of luck to you all:tomcat:

DS didn’t get selected either. We are definitely bummed!
