So my newly elevated 2C is off on protrimid (did I spell that right?) right now so all this could change. Getting information from him is sporatic at best so I will ask you nice folks.
I know the number of aviation selections varies from year to year but what is the range more or less. In other words how many were selected in recent years on a high number year and how many on a low one?

Sorry no one has answered your core question. If you feel like researching, the class service selection breakdown is published in various places each year. The Annapolis Capital Gazette usually runs a story right after Service Selection. I do enough statistical analysis for work, I admit I’m not feeling the urge to dig up the data and figure medians and ranges, normed for class size
Here’s a start:

It’s usually around 300ish. If you google the class year followed by “service selection results” or something to that effect you should be able to get an idea. If I remember correctly, 2018 was a bit smaller than the few preceding years for aviation selects. Based on everything we’re being told going through the pipeline now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they continued that trend of less spots for ‘19 and ‘20.
