Awards/Honors in CAR

I've held off on submitting my CAR (Candidate Activities Record) because of a delay in my school releasing end of the year awards and recognitions which usually are announced in May, but COVID overruled prioritizing these so they hadn't been finalized until recently. My counsellor just let me know of the awards I was to receive and I'm ready to submit my CAR. My only reservation is that the space titled "Award remarks" which lets me explain and identify all of my awards/honors has a character limit which I exceed so I can't fit everything in. Is there another way I can inform West Point of all of my awards and honors?

The same goes for the space on my CAR titled "Other Activity Remarks", there's a character limit that I exceed when trying to identify all of my other activities that the CAR doesn't already have a section for.

If anyone knows how I go about identifying all of these things for West Point I would appreciate any insight.
 
I believe you can have your counselor send in different items to update your CAR after you have submitted it, however I don’t know if you can submit remarks, wouldn’t hurt to reach out to your FFR or RC
 
Let me second the advice to contact your RC (or FFR) whenever you run into these situations and you are SURE that you haven't missed anything in the instructions or the application itself.

DS had an activity that was hugely formative and in which he was very active. It was also very relevant to his decision to seek a commission. Trouble was, there just wasn't a place to fit all he had done with this activity into the application's character limits. He contacted his RC, who had DS send in a resume with the information. The information was placed in his file, and DS is now finishing up CBT at USMA.
