I just took my CFA and the results came out as follows:
- 88ft Basketball Throw
- 18 Pull ups
- 9.0 Shuttle run
- 95 Sit-ups
- 65 Push-ups
- 8:03 Mile
Does anyone know whether or not this is passing? I'm concerned about mainly the mile.

My mile was closer to 8:30 and I passed, however, I’m not sure what the cutoff is for male vs. female on the mile.

Solid performance, but the mile should be 7:48 or less to trigger a pass @ 87 percentile on the gain service academy admissions cfa calculator.

Caveat emptor! This is NOT an official USNA resource.

Perhaps it’s “close enough for gov’ment work,” but it’s important to know it’s not a primary source.

Point taken and I completely agree. Source was provided as reference for information cited. Personally, I would submit the score as-is with the 80+ (at risk) percentile over the 60+ percentile (passing) score I had submitted. Maxing out scores on any event is impressive, but multiples...

Interesting. I wonder where the CFA data for their calculator comes from.

They should have zero access to data. If they do, the ethics are questionable (if it comes from admissions-which I doubt). I think it's all anecdotal.

The only other way I could see them doing that is if they were to consult so many candidates that they see trends in which scores are passing and which aren't. But I doubt they have enough data to come up with exact scores like they did with their algorithm.

@rwheeler2023 you had an outstanding CFA. Published mean and max values are one thing, but true test minimums are not posted and your scores are solid. As a combined score, you crushed it. You are above average in 4 of 6 scoring categories and maxed two categories.

The time isn't ideal but the other scores more than make up for a slow mile.

Ok thanks, my examiner submitted shortly after I took the test and my portal now says "Candidate Fitness Assessment received." I'm not sure if this means I passed or not, does it tell you somewhere?

They've received it, it'll tell you pass/fail once they've gone through and looked at it.
