Bad Moderation

EVERY person that I've seen banned; 99% of the time; it's because of being disrespectful to others. The 1% is because of language, off color posts, or similar. But usually; it's because of disrespect. I have found that you can totally disagree with anyone's post or position. You can totally present an opinion or position on the academies that isn't agreed by just about anyone. The key is: "Be respectful". If you aren't...... then you're gone. And trust me; being about the MOST ANTI-POLITICALLY CORRECT PERSON you'll ever meet....... If I can post with "PASSION" and still be respectful; so can just about anyone.

I'd say if you think the moderation is so bad you should see how much it would cost for the owner to sell you the forum

And now, I just wish I had read the thread. Always a day late and a dollar short. Dang.

This may be slightly off topic, but does anyone know if serviceacademyforums gets funding to do what they do. Just curious. Its probably on a thread somewhere, but I am being a little lazy this morning, it's monday and all.

You do see those things on the TOP of each page? That's called "Advertising". LOL. Sorry; couldn't help myself. That is one way things get funded.

I think I may have seen that on my phone. I typically use my computer (easier on these eyes), and it must have the ads blocked or something. Thanks though, always wondered, since I can imagine this setup can't be cheap to operate.

Not a mod, but I don't understand your question. What do you mean by further purpose? Are you asking if the founder is making a profit?
If so, I hope they are.
In the early days, TN impo was just trying to keep the site afloat, you will see some posters that have a tag that says founding member....look at fencersmother, she has it. I recall when it really took off. It was @ 2009/10. Prior to that everyone went to www.Collegeconfidential.com By 2010 the SA threads over there died. They all came here for guidance.
Without TN I highly doubt anybody would know about Larry Mullen. He served here as the go to DoDMERB for yrs as MullenLE. MullenLE was the 2nd DoDMERB go to resource for this site.
This is their baby, and they endured not only the childbirth, but the sleepless nights in the beginning just trying to keep it alive.

No, just questioning the purpose of this specific thread now that the OP has vented and disappeared.
