I second all of the recommendations from2012mom. Especialy the unusual color for a bag or at least an obnoxious bag tag to help you sort things out - you certainly don't want to be the last plebe standing holding the bag (pun intended)
if you can seperate things in your bag like toiletries and extra socks/underware from stuff that will be taken from you it will make things much easier.
for some of you early reporters once you get to the hall and start storing your gear some of your classmates will just be getting into Alumni Hall. Once your gear is stored don't just sit in your room, if your roommates haven't arrived go find your classmates and help them out, and then take them to help other classmates out. from the minute you step into Alumni Hall the detailers are watching you and evaluating you. These next 6wks are a test of team work - work together
