What is the date sometime in July when the cadets march to a parking lot(what is the name of the parking lot?) and if they have parents there, they will be able to see them?
 
Hi there, I'm guessing you are referring to Doolie day out. Although I don't know about any rules regarding meeting parents, it will be on the 20th of July for the 2013 year.

Or do you mean the march out to Jack's valley? That I believe is July 22nd
 
I believe DD Out is on Sunday, July 28th.

Acceptance Day is the day when you can watch a parade and usually spend a couple of hours with your cadet. I called the USAFA last week and they told me that Acceptance is on Tuesday, August 6th.
 
Blue Skies, where are you seeing that it is the 28th? The sheet I received from the parents' organization says the 20th.
 
Confusion about dates

We attended the local parents meeting a few weeks ago and there are conflicting dates in the material they provided (e.g., they list July 20 as Doolie Day Out in one place and then July 28 in another place).

From looking over the info with my DD I believe the correct day for Doolie Day Out is on July 20, as the march out to Jacks Valley is on July 22.

I'm just focusing on June 27 at this point:smile:

DW and I pulled together the BCT schedule for our Parents Club. The July 28 date for Doolie Day out was originally provided to parents clubs by the Academy Parent's Liaison but DDO has since been changed to Jul 20. That is unless or until it is revised again. . . .

We were also informed that Jully 22 is the march out to Jacks Valley.
 
I'm actually glad for the cadets that it was moved. It is nice for them to have a break from the academy before they go out to Jack's Valley.
 
Confirming Blue Skies post, as per an email I received from Ms. Nikowitz (the Parent Liaison), on Friday, May 24, the Acceptance Day Parade is 6 Aug at 1000.
 
The most recent dates the Parents' Clubs have received state that Doolie Day Out has been changed to July 20th, and Acceptance Parade is Aug. 6th. The Rodeo is July 13th, March Out to Jack's July 22nd and march back Aug. 2nd.
 
I just found an important date time line on the Commandant's site. DDO has indeed been changed to July 20th. This makes the third change, but that's the Air Force! It certainly makes a lot more sense than the July 28th date to me.
