BCT end date

I found this while googling to figure out the A-day information myself. Apparently, there was a parents briefing and I came across to this YouTube video (I'm not sure when this event was held.) The title is "Class of 2027 Parents' Brief - I" so I tried to find more video of continuation of the briefing, I wasn't able to.
Just copy the URL below and paste it in your search bar. Then it should take you to the right video. A-day is August 9th. I hope this helps.

Oh, I guess you just need to hit, play. lol

We traveled to last years A-Day from the east coast. We preordered lunch from a local deli and brought it with us. We arrived at the academy around 7:30 am and left around 2:00 pm. Of that we were able to spend a little over 2 hours with our son. Not a lot of time to be sure but no regrets. I would do it again. With that said , if you have to pick between A-Day and Parents weekend it’s Parents Weekend with a doubt.

I’ve pasted a video of the 2022 parade from YouTube below and below that a post from 2021.

From a 2021 post;
All this just in about Acceptance Day.

The Acceptance Day plan is that the base will open on 2 August to the public so parents will be able to attend the Acceptance Day Parade (9am start and gate normally opens at 7am.) Immediately following the parade is Convocation, which fourth class cadets must attend (still on Stillman Field). From the end of Convocation until 1330 cadets will be allowed to escort their parents in the cadet area with the exception of the dorms. Fourth Class Cadets will not be allowed to go off base with their parents.

Thank you,

Marie

We did the same. It was short but worth it to see him! Then, we could say, "see you in a couple weeks for Parent's Weekend." He's strong, but that kept him going. I-day was eye opening for him (me, too!) We drove both times from Dallas, TX.

If you can go then GO! You only get 1 A-Day so do it. It is a wonderful parade and you do get a few hours with your cadet. Bring lunch with your cadet and family. Message me if you have questions. I have a 2024 & 2026 cadet. Congratulations and welcome.
