Beat Retreat email Letter

Our son forwarded to us an email sent to all of band company regarding all the upcoming beat retreats. In most of the email, the band director writes the number of band company members needed for each of the beat retreats. Nowhere do I see, specifically, the number of members who will be going to NYC on the 13th. It would most definitely be an honor for our son to go! Does anyone know yet if new band members are part of this honor? I don't even think the new members know yet. Plus do they have to stay on campus Saturday pm and travel as a group to nyc? Much obliged.
 
Just spoke to our son a little while ago. His understanding is that everyone will be going on the 13th and everyone will be going to Lake Champlain the following weekend. I'd like to know more about Lake Champlain - we're about 2 1/2 hours away, so we'd definitely consider going and taking pictures.

Wow, maybe I misunderstood and the 2013 parents are much mellower than I was...Also - I'd respectfully suggest that although your son or daughter was probably in an excellent music program and band in high school - as the saying goes "you ain't seen nothing yet."

Captain Force is as eccentric as any band director in the world but there is no doubt the USMMA Regimental Band is excellent and probably the most accurate and precise at what they do - British Regimental Band - in all of North America... The 2 1/2 drive will very likely be worth your while.
 
Going back to my own high school days, I can say that most band directors with good programs are eccentric! And I googled for events around Lake Champlain on September 19 and found that it's the re-dedication of the lighthouse at Crown Point.

True for me too ..... The band director's self written program, for the year last year, at our DS's school was called : "Psychosis"
